Bad Mood

I'm in such a ratty mood today!!

Last night i went onto Trackitt and someone who started their PR case after us has already received their PR. The medicals were submitted after ours I'm so upset.

Too many people have said to me ..."jemma if you didn't have bad luck you would have no luck"

I'm fed up of it always being on my mind, I'm fed up of people always asking about my PR

If you go by the standard time lines we shouldn't hear anything until mid August.

But after last nights shock who knows ....

I'm tired

each night there has been really bad thunder and lightening storms. it get so hot before the storm then Hamish freaks out during the storm so i end up getting very little sleep.

Today we went to stampede and i decided to try and eat till i puked to make myself feel better (yeah i know it wasn't my brightest idea)

Breakfast was 6 diddy doughnuts
Snack - tornado potato (basically one potato cut into a spiral on a stick and deep fried)
then lunch - 2/3 of a burger and some fries
then some candy floss, but not actually that much

and yes i feel sick!! But at the time it was allllllll good

we did go to the Rodeo which i enjoy ... for those who are against rodeo for animal rights, I'm right there with you, but even the animal activists believe that its only the Calf Roping that is in anyway cruel to the animal ...

i don't know, before we moved here i was TOTALLY against it, however, its part of farming life and I'm most ranches around Calgary the ranchers will take better care of their animals than themselves!!

Sorry Lou i do have photos of cowboys but i cant be bothered uploading them (see the rant about my bad mood above ;) )

Back to work tomorrow but it should be fairly quite since it is stampede week.

Also hoping for a package from Sam to arrive, not that I'm stalking my postie or anything.

and counting down the days till my in laws arrive (a week on Wednesday)

on the bright side i am looking incredibly brown due to all the time Ive been spending outside and my online natural cure (Listerine in a spray bottle) seems to have significantly reduced the number of bites I'm getting (although i currently have ONE really bad one behind my knee and one on my back - trust me two bites in the last week is better than the 15 i got on one day with just bug spray on!!

OK i think I'm all ranted out now ...

Hope everyone has a great week!!

and Ya-hoooooooooooo

Happy Canada Day =)

Photo Heavy post again ...

Since both Barry and I were of today we decided to make the most of it and go adventuring in Yoho National Park.

Louise we saw approx:
10 Deers
2 Mooses (is the Plural for Moose Mice or just Moose, i like mooses best!!)
1 bear and
1 hairy Marmot

this is the only photo i got ...
Paul, if you were being sarky yesterday look away now there are heaps more photos of Bar and I :)

OK so our day started of kinda bad, we were both starving and forgot to take breakfast with us, so we stopped in Canmore for Timmies, yum, we found out that we had no harness or lead/leash for Hamster ... so we had to go to safeway and get him this

It was so weird for us, since he was about 6 months old he has been wearing a harness and not a collar, he also has always had a extending lead, but to my surprise he was really well behaved on it!!
Although he did have a little melt down later in the day. He is so cute people want to pet him all the time and sometimes its too much for him, he just wants to be left alone. Poor wee man, so i ended up carrying him later in the day.
After we got Ham kitted out we headed to Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park, they are the second largest (drop) falls in Western Canada and i have to say they were pretty cool

Some of the views from the valley ...

if you ignore the sun spot/dust spot its actually a pretty good photo!
Us chilling in the valley
We headed further into Yoho to the "natural bridge"
The water here is CRAZY blue because of the fact that the falls are fed from Daily Glacier and the Glacier Silt makes the water a milky blue!!

Us
This is the natural bridge, it used to be a waterfall but the water has worn away a hole in the stone and its now a bridge, in heavy flows the water will come over the top again. They think this will break in a few years :(
Then we nipped up to Emerald Lake, it was our first time to all of these places and we would totally go back to them all too :)
There was a really funny lady at Emerald Lake who wanted her photo taken with Hamish, hes going to be famous world wide!!

Finally we headed to Banff for lunch/dinner. We found somewhere to eat outside with Hamish :)
and it was GOOOOOOOOOD
I love Banff, but with it being Canada day it was Mobbed, it wasn't actually pleasant it was so busy ... but its still beautiful!!
Now my lovely boys are both sound asleep on the sofa, so im going to force them both to go to bed and im going to finish the third twiglight book :)
Sorry my photos are looking really grainy and horrible on my blog, but you get the idea ;) we had a great day :)

This weekend ...

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary with a ...
Road Trip.

We headed down to Waterton Park which is somewhere Bar has always wanted to go, on the way there was a place to see Buffalo ... i didnt quite realise just how close we would see them

Then just as you enter into Waterton there is a wee detour for Red Rock Canyon, the rock is really really red, and such pretty views all around

My boys ...
This is the big lake at Waterton, the mountains in the distance are in Montana, USA.
Barry had this cool idea for a picture, but it was a bit blustery ...
We went with his idea, just down at the pier ... where i also got a splinter, i havent had one in years i was not impressed by that!!

Big Chief Montana ...
The clouds in the sky were so cool, they make the most amazing patterns!
dont know what this mountain was called sorry!
Then we hit the Road to the Sun Highway, which only Opened on Friday, each year the pass gets 80 - 100 ft of snow and it takes 5 week solid to clear it!!

Yip looking back i probably should have had my legs over the wall like barry since im so clumsy!

But i think the picture was worth it!!

So so very pretty the road isnt open all the time but so worth taking if it is!!

The baby mountain goat at one of the stops, there were a few goats around this area
... and mam no its not a bear!!

some evidence of said snow fall, and Hamish shaking desperate to get to the goat!!

The bridge is built into the side of the rock face, kinda cool ... kinda scary!!the water just falls down, bar decided the car needed a wash and went under the water, he obviously thought i needed a wash too since my window was open!!Pretty waterfallus just past said pretty waterfall!this was a stop on the way, you had to walk out onto the rocks and jump across a little bit but it was worth it, the rocks are so red and the water was just so blue/green!!
Hamish eating the last of Barrys Ice-Cream - actually mine, which went to barry then hamish! We stayed in Kalispell, it was really nice and there are a lot of older buildings, most from the early 1900's :)on the way back across to Canada, there were these rocks at the boarder which were meant to look like buffalo, this was the worst one, but the easiest one to get a photo of! I have had a fantastic weekend and its reminded me of just how lucky i am to have married Barry xxxx
